Advantech Intel®-based Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) Platforms for LTE

Providing new levels of ‘network intelligence” requires a technology that can look deep inside every packet of information. This technology is known as Deep Packet Inspection or DPI. DPI high-speed pattern matching identifies the packet contents, tags it, and passes it on to applications that makes decisions at wire speed. DPI technologies do not require individually complex operations, but they must be extremely fast and capable of managing many packet streams simultaneously. Network intelligence platforms require high performance processors, utilizing, multi-processor, multi-core and multithreaded implementations. The video presents the solution to these challenges: Advantech’s FWA-6500. OEM ready and highly configurable, the 6500 represents the latest in high performance network application platforms. Powered by 2 Intel Xeon Processors and using flexible network mezzanine cards the 6500 delivers the ultimate packet processing performance in a 2U form factor. Developed solely on Intel architecture, tuned by Advantech from the processors to the IO, developers need just one code base, one set of tools and can access a massive ecosystem of software resources.

ATCA Virtual Summit System Integration and Interoperability Part2
This presentation will look at the various levels of integration along the ATCA ecosystem value chain and provide an overview of interoperability and testing methods. It will also address at another important aspect of integration, one which facilitates the implementation and rollout of custom functions. The ability to easily add FPGA-based functions with classified intellectual property is an important factor right now for both telecom and non-telecom customers evaluating ATCA.
